Introduction

The Product code IR Snap On Board is especially designed to provide IR interface for any development board having Santa Cruz Header. The board contains four IR sensors (TSOP1738), Seven Segment Display, and 2-way DIP Switch.

The four IR Sensors are placed such that they detect the IR signals from the omni direction. Each IR sensor tunes to the 38 KHz frequency so that user can use this board as IR receiver for any devices such as IR remote control, IR keyboard, IR mouse, which transmits data at this frequency. PIN diode, Demodulator, and filter are inbuilt in the sensors to avoid using any external circuit. Each sensor requires only one pin to interface with Development (UP3) board.

The Product code IR Infrared (IR) Snap on Board, in combination with the
Product code of UP3 Demonstration Board serves as a demonstration and evaluation kit for designing an IR remote control receiver using the TSOP1738.

 Features

  • Provides IR interface.
  • Receives signals from omni-direction .
  • Supports Sensor Range at 10m.
  • Reduces cost and increase reliability for data communication.
  • Snaps on Santa Cruz Connector.
  • Runs on UP3 System at 5V.
  • Supports Simplex IR Keyboard Communication.
  • Supports all data format (NEC, Sharp, RC5 & RC6 Code etc.) of IR Remote Control.
